Since I started late last week, I'm starting early this week!
Hope everyone is doing well and having a happy Friday.
For starters, as always, head to zoneblitz.com this and every week to see my position rankings to help set your lineup.
You can always hit me up with questions here, on Twitter @MPLSMaggio, #1500blitz for questions to be read on the air Sunday mornings, and firstname.lastname@example.org for queries of the more-than-140-character variety
What can I help you with today, Gordon?
Perhaps a Josh Gordon question?
Or maybe something more old school, like Gordon from Sesame Street
Reggie Bush didn't practice today with an apparent leg injury. So if the Joique Bell owner dropped him, go pick him up NOW
I had to drop Bell for a bye week issue last week, and of course was unable to pick him back up. Calculated gamble that didn't pay off at all
Bell's a top 10 fantasy RB this week if Bush doesn't play
Tough to say, though practicing on Thursday, then having a leg injury crop up and not practicing on Friday, isn't exactly the best news.
In fact, even if he does play, I'll have to drop him a bit in the rankings and move Bell up a few spots under the assumption that Bell will get a little extra work
This is about what we expect from Reggie on the injury front, though. It's why Bell is at the very least a handcuff with benefits
Reed for sure. I'd probably go Boykin for the other. I have Moore and Boykin back-to-back in my rankings, but the more I think about it the more I think I'd start Boykin, so I've got to switch them
Moore probably has a higher floor but lower ceiling than Boykin
Ellington. He's got the much better matchup. Stacy has a chance to put up an OK day based on volume, but Seattle's tough anyway. Imagine Seattle when not having to even guard against the pass with Kellen Clemens at QB. Frightening...
No, definitely not. I swung and missed royally on that
currently eating crow for lunch...
I've got Douglas up at No. 22 this week. But AZ has a tough defense
I think from there I go Boldin and Ridley
there's risk with all three of the other guys, but Ridley's likely to get you at least something against the Dolphins. Colston could have a monster day, but he could also have a 2-catch day.
Boldin doesn't have quite as much risk based on the defense he's facing. He generally puts up numbers against bad to average defenses
for those of you looking for trades to bolster your team down the stretch, I have to point you in the direction of Washington
They've got a cake schedule the rest of the way, particular for QBs and WRs. Go grab RGIII and Garcon now!
Garcon I believe is 8th in targets in the league, and that's despite having his bye already
I'd definitely go with Reed. Rudolph's a top 10 play this week due to byes, but Reed's been better anyway and has the better matchup
This is a total guess on Harvin, but my bet is that he only gets 15-20 snaps. They want him to get through the week of practice OK, then probably want to gauge him in limited duty. But if he comes out of that OK, he could be bumped up to a full workload next week
and once Percy is back, I'd rank them Percy, Keenan, Boykin
James Jones will be back soon capping Boykin's upside a bit
bench Stacy if PPR league, bench Gordon if standard league
maybe a BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Pierre Thomas, Roy Helu or Jacquizz Rodgers available?
