Hey everyone, welcome to this week's live chat. Whaddya got?
Before we get started, here's a sweet pass by Ricky Rubio...
In fairness, there were WRs in the vicinity...
A caller to ventline asked if the Vikings should have gotten Josh Freeman up to chuck that desperation heave. Well, yeah, except Freeman was inactive. An NFL QB should be able to make that throw.
The Wolves are definitely a top-12 team, IMO, if everyone stays healthy. I don't really understand these power rankings early in the season.... Sixers No. 1 on Yahoo! after being 30th to start the season? Really?
You're telling me if the Heat and Sixers played a seven-game series right now that the Sixers would win? No? Then don't rank them No. 1!
Yeah, Rick is a bad shooter. He doesn't even have to get better at shooting, necessarily.... He needs to finish better. He shot 44% at the RIM last year! If that goes up to 60%, he shoots 40% overall.
I love the Wyatt Family. They would have been in a lot of barbed-wire matches back in the Attitude Era. I think The Shield probably breaks up within the next 6-8 months.
On the Wolves, this is really the first time (sans 2003-2004) that they've ever had three guys on the roster who can score 20 or 25 in any given night.
Pek, Love, Martin are the three, BTW
I'm voting for Glen Perkins
It would be a huge buzz kill if TCF weren't sold out this weekend. Students, in particular, should pack the house. SHOULD.
I really can't blame Twin Cities fans for not showing up to see mediocre teams (like the Gophers have been for years). There is SO much to do around here, why should we spend money to watch a crappy product? Well, the product isn't crappy anymore.
I think there's still a certain level of apathy for being bad recently.
I'm not a cheeshead hater. Would have been nice if the trade deadline hadn't passed, though. Matt Cassel might look nice in green and gold, no?
Like 2 percent, I'll say. Nationally people still don't care.
The nation didn't care about Fargo either
The other games that week are Baylor vs. OK State and A&M vs. LSU..... But that SEC game is on CBS, so it's possible ESPN would want to promote an ABC/ESPN game. I give it a 15% chance.
If, in theory, GameDay came to the U of M... where would they broadcast from? GO.
They'd probably broadcast from the mall area outside Coffman Union, with skyline in background
Both calls look worse because of the result, but you could FIRST-guess the pass play call so I'll side with the Vikings.
St. Paul is by far the more picturesque of the two campuses, but I'd be surprised if it was there because you wouldn't get as many people over there. Probably couldn't do West Bank, either, for the same reason
I honestly haven't followed lately. Any update on the Reid Travis front?
I'd be very surprised if he goes to the U
was at the scrimmage this week and has kept Minnesota on his list... but don't expect it to happen
